Children and ESRD Medicare

Question 10 of 10 (use "Last" or "Next" buttons to see more)
Last Update: September 20, 2012

Children with ESRD can qualify for ESRD Medicare if one of their parents worked and paid Medicare taxes for a sufficient period of time.

Someone is considered a child if they are,

  • Unmarried and age 21 and younger
  •  Age 22 to 25 (and receive some support from your parents)
  • An adult dependent child (a child determined disabled before age 22)

Coverage of ESRD treatment for children works the same as it does for adults.
