Care for all service-connected disabilities is free.

The cost of other medical care depends on your disability rating and your ability to pay. Veterans with service-connected disabilities rated at least 50 percent disabling by the VA and veterans with low incomes also get all their other health care for free.

All other veterans must pay modest deductibles and copayments for their care.
