If you are a hospital inpatient, Medicare Part A covers:

• A semiprivate room
• Meals
• General nursing
• Medications
• Other hospital services and supplies

Medicare does not cover:

• Private duty nursing
• A television or telephone in your room
• A private room (unless medically necessary or if it is the only room available)

Part B covers the doctor services you receive while in the hospital.
