What if the hospice agency says I don't qualify for Medicare-covered care?

Section IX.h. Getting Medicare to Pay for Hospice Care (Part A)
Question 2 of 3 (use "Last" or "Next" buttons to see more)
Last Update: March 04, 2011

If your hospice agency says you do not qualify for Medicare-covered care you should call another hospice agency. If you are terminally ill and your doctor certifies that you have fewer than six months to live, another agency may take you as a hospice patient. You can call 800-Medicare to find a list of hospice agencies in your area that take Medicare.
