In October 2023, Jeannie contacted the Medicare Rights Center helpline for assistance enrolling in the Medicare Savings Program (MSP). Her case worker guided her through the enrollment process, and she promptly submitted her application. However, Jeannie received a deferral notice due to an error at her local Medicaid office.
Medicare Rights stuck with Jeannie every step of the way. Within a week of troubleshooting her case with the HRA, the application was re-processed and approved, enabling Jeannie to save $174.70 a month on her Part B premiums and receive over $600 in reimbursements to cover the gap in her approval.
