Proposals to Protect and Grow Medicare
$20.00 for 1 year
This course provides an overview of the Medicare population and current policy proposals under consideration that would change the Medicare program, often by shifting new costs to beneficiaries themselves. In order to understand the impact such proposals could have on the Medicare population, it is important to understand the financial pressures that many people with Medicare already face, and how proposals could increase these pressures. In this course, you will become familiar with the history of Medicare, learn about the population that Medicare serves, and explore a series of Medicare policy proposals and how they could affect people with Medicare and their families. This course also explores proposals that would reduce Medicare spending without placing an additional burden on beneficiaries.
