If you live in New York, you may be able to get assistance with your health care costs through a Medicare Savings Program (MSP). MSPs help pay your Medicare costs if you have limited income and can save you over $8,000 each year.

These limits are based on the 2025 federal poverty level (FPL) The Federal Poverty Level (FPL) is the federally set measure of income that is used to determine eligibility for certain programs, including Extra Help and some Medicaid programs. The FPL changes every year and varies depending on the number of people in your household. It is higher in Alaska and Hawaii. and include a standard $20 disregard. In 2023, the QMB limit increased from 100% FPL to 138% FPL. SLMB has been eliminated. QI increased from 135% FPL to 186% FPL.
